Getting attuned to Reiki is easy and there are many Masters who will work with you in teaching the history of Reiki and perform Reiki attunements. There is a theory among Reiki Masters that when you are ready, Reiki will find you. That may be what brought you to this page today.

You can work with a Reiki master on a face to face basis, or you can sign up for an on line reiki course and work with an on line Reiki Master. |
Both methods are perfectly valid and the method you choose should be based on what feels right for you. You'll not be surprised to hear me say that the most important point is that you need to find a Master you are comfortable working with. Remember, Reiki does not recognise time or distance, so on-line attunements are just as powerful and valid as those performed by someone standing in front of you. It really is a matter of personal choice.
If you decide to work with a local Reiki Master in person, then Google will be able to point you in the direction of local Reiki Masters who will be happy to work with you. This will give you the hands on experience and you will attend a course, along with others to receive instruction and your reiki attunement.
Or maybe you want to explore on-line training and Reiki attunement. This will probably be cheaper and more convenient, you will be able to work at your own pace and will not need to wait for a local course. The biggest disadvantage obviously is that you do not have personal contact.
