About Audrey

I live and write in Scotland. I’m interested in people: what we notice, what we miss, and how we explain the choices we make.

In my fiction, those questions play out through family, desire, divided loyalties and crime—with Scottish voices and humour along the way.

My Quietly Tough nonfiction explores the moments when familiar ways of living or working no longer quite fit, giving readers room to recognise their circumstances and reach their own judgements.

Before writing full time, I held senior leadership roles across public and other sectors. That experience informs my interest in responsibility and the human consequences of decisions.
